Every Record I Own - Day 326: Dismember Like An Ever Flowing Stream
Apparently my blog has been deemed explicit by the overlords at Tumblr, so I doubt very many people will actually be able to see this post. It’s a good day to be hit with this realization as I don’t actually have a lot to say about Dismember. While their Swedish death metal peers Entombed and At The Gates had a presence in my ‘90s teenage years, Dismember wasn’t really in my orbit until the HM-2 distortion sound blew up this last decade.
Bought this original pressing a few years back from a distro in Germany. In a way, I think the vinyl obsession with classic death metal is a little strange as these kinds of albums initially thrived on the cassette format. I get that the vinyl has more value due to scarcity, but chances are that if you owned this record when it first came out, you owned it on tape. But hey, I got a good deal on this one.
